My first stop in Australia was Melbourne (photos four through six) to catch up with my dear friends Hedy and Russell.  They have a lovely home and were the perfect hosts.  I enjoy their company immensely.

I then traveled to Sydney (first three photos) where I met up with my brother Jim, his amore' Amanda, and his daughters Deana and Jessica.  We had a quick tour of the town before driving up the coast to Port Macquarie where we spent several days (photos 7 through 12).  Then another coastal drive to Brisbane to stay with another dear friend, Gwen (last six photos).

Gwen and her family are a riot!  We all had a blast and they are planning to spend Christmas 2008 with us here in the states.

Aussies are very open and loud, which says a lot since Americans are so very open and loud themselves.  If you want a fun evening, sit at the table with Aussies...you will never be bored.

Beautiful country, beautiful people, fascinating animals all make for an excellent trip.
